The DDEC & PRIDCO Online Applications Platform (“Platform”) is operated by the Puerto Rico Department of Economic Development and Commerce (“DDEC”) and its related agencies. By using and/or visiting the Platform, you and/or the Company or Individual you represent accept this privacy policy. This policy covers how the Platform treats the personal information that it collects and receives, including information related to your past use of the Platform. Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person, such as the person’s name, Employer Identification Number, Social Security Number or National Identification Number, address, email address, or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available.

The following represents practices and procedures of the Platform. We reserve the right to change these practices and procedures at any time without prior notice.


When you register as a user we may collect a variety of information, including your name, address, email address, and telephone number. We may also collect Applicant’s or Grantee’s Name, Employer Identification Number, Social Security Number or National Identification Number, contact information, education, financial information, trade and commercial secrets, medical, criminal or employment history, and any other identifying particular assigned to the Applicant or Grantee and its stockholders, members, partners, officers or directors.

By providing any information, you expressly agree for any collected information to be used for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, to improve our services, to contact you or contact the Applicant or Grantee, for the application review process, for verifying Grantee’s compliance and for statistical or compliance purposes. This enumeration is not exhaustive and may include other implied or necessary uses, to which you expressly agree.

We also collect non-personal information − data in a form that does not permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address, type of browser used, the date and time of the visit and the IP addresses of the locations to which the visitor linked during his or her visit to our Platform.


The Federal Child Privacy Act regulates website's collection of personal information on users under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally collect such information on anyone we know to be under 18 years of age. If such information is inadvertently obtained, we will take the necessary steps to delete the information as soon as possible.

Cookies and Other Technologies


The Platform does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you or the Applicant or Grantee with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide services you've requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:

  • As part of the application review process;
  • For statistical or compliance purposes;
  • As part of any investigation, audit, review or other action as determined by the DDEC;
  • We provide the information to trusted partners who work on behalf of or with the DDEC and its related agencies under confidentiality agreements. However, these Partners do not have any independent right to share this information;
  • We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims;
  • We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the Platform’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

Protection of Personal Information

The DDEC and its related agencies take precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Integrity and Retention of Personal Information

The DDEC and its related agencies make it easy for you and the Applicant or Grantee to keep the personal information accurate, complete, and up to date. We will retain the personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Access to Personal Information

You can help ensure that your contact information and preferences, as well as the Applicant’s or Grantee’s contact information, are accurate, complete, and up to date by logging in to your account at the Platform. For other personal information, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access so you can request that we correct the data if it is inaccurate or delete the data if the DDEC and its related agencies are not required to retain it by law or for legitimate business purposes. We may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, are extremely impractical, or for which access is not otherwise required by local law.


The DDEC and its related agencies may update this policy at any moment without prior notification.
